Birgitta Long 'n Lean in practice
Birgitta Long 'n Lean is a class concept where stretch poses from dance and yoga 'asanas/positions' are fused after a short warm up session.
The format is stressing mobility in joints and elongation of 'stressed or sore' muscles for instance from running, cycling, in door/out door fitness work or from regular daily life: walking, carrying and office/computer work.
Longer workshops especially, are intended to be a session for de-stressing, 'opening' the body, relaxation and aiming to achieve a sense of elongated spine, hamstrings, thights and tired calf muscles. Hence, release of tension may occur.

The level will be geared towards the attendees' level. Men/women, athletes, dancers, regular /moderate level.

Birgitta Long 'n Lean - background information
Long 'n Lean is based on Birgitta`s 20 years of instructing fitness, dance and yoga classes in Norwegian studios such as Jump In, SATS, Balance, Elixia and Treningshuset.

Birgitta's studies are based on: Hatha/Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with Diane Beardsley and Vini Yoga with Fred Miller both taught in Los Angeles in 2002.

The acquired experience includes training at Steve Ross' famous Maha Yoga Studio in Brentwood, Los Angeles, at the Yoga Works on Montana Avenue, Los Angeles and at the Exhale in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
Birgitta has attended workshops for Children and Yoga, for various kinds of injuries at the Bikram Hot Room Yoga in Los Angeles and London.
